Consumer Welfare Corpus Fund
Government of India proposed that the State Government may establish a Corpus Fund for an amount of Rs. 10.00 crore with 75% of the fund as Central share and 25% as State Government share, to strengthen the Consumer Welfare Fund in the State so that the interest accrued in the fund can be utilized for financing state/local programmes and activities for the welfare and protection of consumer.
Objective
The overall objective of the Consumer welfare corpus fund is to provide financial assistance to promote and protect the welfare of the consumers and strengthen the voluntary consumer movement in the State.
